Boxes

Boxes are light, versatile and come in many different shapes and sizes which can be flat-packed away for easy storage.
White boxes are particularly useful as they take coloured light or projections beautifully.

Stacking boxes (and knocking them down) is an easily understood task that can be accessed by everyone, involving cooperation and loads of fun.
Create structures together; an igloo, a hidden wall, cathedral or pyramid, involving everyone working together
Cut windows in boxes and put lights inside. Covering with coloured gels gives another effect
Small boxes can be filled with pasta, balls, bells to make shakers, while large boxes conduct vibrations that can be felt with fingers and toes

Boxes can hide surprises relating to a theme....or be used for sorting, packing and stacking, some of our favourite activities
