Using a variety of cloths will bring colour, texture and movement to your working space. They can create structures such as a volcano, waterfall, or tunnel for example. They can delineate pathways or seating areas, encourage movement, add atmosphere, or simply be enjoyed for their unique feel, like furs, satin or velvet.

Organza, bought in 8m lengths, will dress a large area of wall or ceiling. It comes in a fantastic range of colours and takes light well, so you can create a wide range of environments.

Visually beautiful, with movement and tactile qualities, they encourage participants suspend disbelief and engage
Long whites or sails can be hung, twisted or used to create white areas for topics such as snow/ice/clouds.
They also reflect coloured lighting or projections.
Long black lengths can create caves, mines and other underground scenes. They are extremely useful for 'containing' multisensory activities that involve the exploration of large quantities of rice, grains, pasta, feathers for example.
Net and Chiffon can be used to create puppets, costumes, or build see through structures and screens.
It can also be acquired in neon colours that glow in UV.
Silk can be expensive but has a unique, 'floaty' quality. In a sheer denier it will ripple beautifully when placed over an electric fan.
Colours are vibrant when projected onto it
Furs and blankets are available in a wide range of colours/textures. They are cosy and comforting and greatly enjoyed in a chill-out round a fire. Clean by placing in bags in a freezer.
Hessian is great for rural or medieval workshops, as it can be used as set/seating or simply cut into aprons, tabards or waistcoats for a peasant type costume.
